Organization: East Timor International Support CenterWe have received information from
Dili that the pro-integration forces and the military are forcing thousands to protest on
the streets against the pro-referendum East Timorese.
Today, the military instructed all government servants, in Dili, to take to the streets
in a show of force against pro-independence demonstrators. The government servants have
been warned that if they fail to protest, their salaries would be cut.
An explosive situation seems to be looming in East Timor.
