Bush to host president of East Timor

NEW YORK (AP) -- President Bush and President Xanana Gusmao of East
Timor will meet at the White House on Oct. 2.
The White House said the meeting will celebrate East Timor's admission
to the United Nations on Sept. 27 as well as Bush's "strong support
for an independent, stable and prosperous East Timor."
Bush spoke to the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday.
