Timor-Leste International and Local Media Monitoring Nov 4, 2003 STL Australian Program Supports F-FDTL Progress Australian and Timor-Leste are building bridges to the future through the success of the Defence Cooperation Program, which is an agreement between the two countries to enhance Timor-Leste's defence force (F-FDTL). The Defence Cooperation Program between Australia and East Timor sees members of f-FDTL receive a cross-section of training on weapons use, computer and literacy skills and officer training. At present Australia is contributing approximately twenty-six servicemen to the training program.
