East Timor: Lisbon spends euros 3.5mn on vocational skills teaching
Dili, Dec. 15 (Lusa) - Portugal has invested euros 3.5 million in East
Timor's CNEP professional training center since 2001 and has trained over
300 tradesmen during this period.
Speaking to Lusa Wednesday after a visit to Timor, Alexandre Rosa,
vice-chairman of CNEP's Portuguese counterpart, IEFP, said his
organization aimed to continue its assistance to the new nation.
Upcoming projects at CNEP, whose instructors are Portuguese and
Timorese, are the building of a new refectory to give the center
facilities to teach catering skills and construction of hostels to
accommodate up to 90 students.
