The protocol is also complementary to an agreement on the creation of the Angola-East Timor Joint Commission. At the end of the signing, Angolan Foreign minister expressed satisfaction and highlighted the fact that the accord is a far-reaching deal as, he added, it covers all areas of the political and economic affairs. He said that the two countries are for this reason “deeply” excited with this cooperation, pledging that Angola will do its best to make the deal profitable and reach desired goals. Assunção dos Anjos announced that experts from the two countries will meet early in July this year , covering the various sectors, to identify concrete areas of action. The Angolan official said Timorese technicians will travel to Angola for upgrading training in various spheres in July this year. In his turn, the Timorese Foreign minister, Zacarias Albano da Costa, said the accord is the turning of a new era in the cooperation between the two countries.
