Timor Leste's Deputy Police Commander Commissioner Afonso de Jesus said that the Timorese National Police (PNTL) is ready to coordinate with the Timorese Defense Force (F-FDTL) in setting up a joint task force to secure the Timor Sea from illegal fishing, Diario Nacional reported on Monday.
"We have made coordination to work together in setting up task force to control the country's sea," de Jesus said.
De Jesus stressed the importance of the cooperation.
Meanwhile, head of Immigration Department Boavida Ribeiro said they are ready to collaborate to carry out the government's programs.
