I am deeply ashamed of the activities of BHP regarding their activities relating to oil exploitation in the areas of dispute in the Timor Sea. As you might expect, letters sent to the chairman concerning this issue have gone unanswered. Is it not time to start a shareholders group, who can combine their proxy votes , to raise the issue of BHP's involvement in Indonesia at annual general meetings? C. I have been in contact with them and they sounded receptive to the East Timor issue. I will post more contact details later. Iain Pople i.pople@ugrad.unimelb.edu.au |
