APCET will be producing a Free Xanana Poster and Postcards for APCET's re-launching of the Free Xanana Campaign on November 12.

The postcard contains the following text:

Dear President Habibie,

We urge you to release the East Timorese leader, Xanana Gusmao.

The UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, President Nelson Mandela, many of your Indonesian citizens and the international community at large are just among those who resonate with this plan.

It is imperative that the East Timorese people, throught their leader, Xanana Gusmao, take part in the on-going UN negotiations between Indonesia and Portugal to arrive at a just, peaceful and internationally acceptable solution to the East Timorese conflict.

In the name of justice, freedom, peace and democracy, RELEASE XANANA GUSMAO NOW!
